Sunshine Kids Travel Pal Review

Sunshine Kids Travel Pal
Average Reviews:

I purchased this when I had a ford escape suv with a bench seat in the back.It was meant to go in between two car seats and it worked great but then we got a minivan so now it goes on the floor between the two seats. It works great to keep all the toys, wipes, papers, snacks, kid sunglasses or anything else you need to keep organized in place. My son is always bringing a toy on errands and then they used to end up scattered all over the floor. Now, it's easy to just pop it into this organizer so he can find it next time he is bored and looking for a toy. I also keep wipes in it, so they are easy to find in an emergency.Great buy so your car doesn't seem like it's a big toy box or junk area.

Munchkin White Hot Rear Window SunBlock Shade Review

Munchkin White Hot Rear Window SunBlock Shade
Average Reviews:

We got this when my son was born. The coverage is good, but not the best. The middle always sags and lets the sun in right on my baby's head. The Hot indicator burned out after an especially hot day, so now it constantly reads Hot even on cold days. A couple of the suction cups are warped and do not stick after sitting in the sun for a summer.
Over all, I would not recommend this shade.

Stokke Tripp Trapp Baby Set Review

Stokke Tripp Trapp Baby Set
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Okay, I was hesitant to buy this for our Tripp Trapp, but as we wanted to use it with our then-5 month old, we didn't have any choices as the old baby rail is discontinued and doesn't fit with the new model Tripp Trapps anyway.

We took the plunge. I have no idea what all the problems described in other reviews are about, because this set works great for us. We have no problems putting our 7 1/2 month old into this chair and baby rail set. We don't have any cushions installed because he makes a mess when he eats and would just get the cushions all dirty. But, we got a good deal and free cushions with the set so I just put them away for later. We don't usually use the seat belt presently because he likes sitting in the chair and doesn't try to escape. He just sits on top of the seat belt for now.

My son is about 27 inches tall and weighs at least 19 pounds. He's a very long and lean little guy. He sits up very well on his own now, but even before he was sitting well without help, he could sit in the Tripp Trapp with the baby rail and eat at the dinner table with us. The rail doesn't make him too far away from the table. In fact, I'm surprised at how far he can reach. We give him graham crackers to chew, and he can put them down on the table in front of him and pick them up as he likes.

We think he likes sitting here and eating so much better than when he had to sit on the floor in the bouncy seat to eat. Now, he's entertained sitting at our level during dinner. Thanks to the baby set which we added to the Tripp Trapp, he can do this at an earlier age. I do have to say that there is a potential for food to drip down between him and the baby rail when he leans back, but we use the Baby Bjorn bibs which have a great tray for catching food drips. Awesome combination, so our son stays mostly clean now when he eats.

UPDATE: My son is now 11 months old, weighs 21 lbs and is 28 inches tall. He still fits in the chair with the baby rail just fine and seems like he has plenty of room to grow. The chair with the rail scoots up to our table very well so he can reach for foods we put on the table in front of him for him to feed himself. I love how he can be right by us as we all eat, and not off to the side with a tray on the front of his high chair blocking him from pulling up to the family table.

ERGObaby Front Pouch Review

ERGObaby Front Pouch
Average Reviews:

I purchased a black embroidered organic Ergo and realized later that it did not have a pocket like other Ergos. I thus got the pouch off of Amazon. The pouch is worth the money and it much more versatile than initially anticipated. You can attach it to the front of the pack, the back of the pack (waist straps) with velcro, or you can carry it with the strap that comes with it. The strap itself is adjustable and features a handy clip with which you can quickly attack and detach the strap. Fantastic design. You have one zippered front pocket, an open pocket behind that, then the main zippered pocket and a small zippered compartment within that. I keep some doggy bags, my wallet, my iphone, ipod, keys, a burp cloth, a pacifier, a pack of kleenex and my rescue inhaler in it. There is room to spare, too. It has turned into my "mommy purse." I keep it in whichever diaper bag I am using and is the only thing I take with me if I have to run a quick errand by myself. Definitely a great addition to the Ergo pack or just on its own.

Sucking Pad Review

they are sewn pretty securely; i've washed several times and they still hold their shape. just be careful about how you put them on the ergo straps. once, i had the velcro on the bottom side of the strap and it was rubbing against my baby's arm (he was wearing short sleeves), causing a bunch of scratches and abrasions on his poor little arm! so now i always put them on the strap with the velcro on the outer top side of each strap - the furthest point away from my baby's skin.

ERGO New Infant Insert Review

ERGO New Infant Insert
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is the second Ergo infant insert I've bought.I bought this one hoping it would work better than the old infant insert. It doesn't.Basically, if your newborn doesn't like the Ergo carrier, it's likely neither insert is going to help. You should test the Ergo with your newborn before spending the money.

My husband and I loved the idea of the Ergo carrier, as the hip belt helps alleviate back problems and is much like our packs for backpacking, so we registered for one.But however much we like the carrier, my eight-week-old, 10.5 pound daughter hates it. I've been trying to get her into the Ergo using first the old infant insert, and now the Heart 2 Heart, repeatedly ever since she was born, but with no success. The moment I put her (in the insert) into the Ergo carrier, she starts screaming and doesn't stop until I take her out. I've watched the video for the old insert (note: there's no video for the Heart 2 Heart) and am following their technique exactly, but still she just hates the carrier.

Neither insert provides enough head support for my daughter, which is why I think she screams. The Heart 2 Heart in particular doesn't work; when she's settled into it as per the instructions, the insert doesn't come up high enough to support her head, and she's not a particularly long child. So her head flops forward when she tries to look around, which frustrates her.

Both inserts feel like a bit of an afterthought -- I'm not convinced the Ergo carrier was designed with newborns in mind. Having the baby's feet out one side in the old insert seemed like a stopgap solution, and the Heart 2 Heart doesn't quite solve the issue, either.Interestingly, I picked up a used Baby Bjorn as a last resort after having spent all this money on the Ergo and the inserts, and she likes the Bjorn, because it's stiffer and provides more support.I think she won't like the Ergo until her head's a bit steadier; we'll go back to the Ergo then.

So it's worth knowing before buying this insert that it may or may not be money well spent -- it all just depends on whether your child likes it or not, and there's a possibility she won't (as I've now seen multiple reports on various sites saying that their newborns also don't like the Ergo; wish I'd done this research before getting the Ergo and spending the money on the inserts). It's worth waiting until after your baby is born and trying out the infant inserts before buying them.Otherwise, you may want to hold off on the Ergo until 4-5 months.

Baby Jogger City Mini Double Rain Canopy Review

Baby Jogger City Mini Double Rain Canopy
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The rain/wind cover for the Baby Jogger is really great. It's made well and feels like it will last for many years due to the quality of the materials used.
The only issue I have with the cover is that to fully and properly secure it to the front of the stroller, you almost have to get under the stroller to strap the Velcro straps. This is sometimes quite difficult, especially when you're standing out in the rain trying to do this quickly.
Otherwise, this rain cover is really great and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to keep their little one dry and out of the breeze.
