(More customer reviews)I bought two (2) of these one for the top and one for the bottom of the stairs.My one year old uses them as his own personal jungle gyms and they hold up well but, the gates were extremely complicated to install.I'm pretty handy, I have built houses for years, and I'm also proficient with electrical installations, plumbing, heating and finish carpentry.Normally I'd expect a project like this to take no more than 15 minutes and the second gate should be easier than the first.What I found was that it took me a solid hour to get the gate into a functioning state and another 30 minutes to adjust to a final working state.They are overpriced for the quality, e.g. I bought the black gates to mimic a wrought iron look as my house is well over 100 years old.The hardware provided is nickel instead of black powder coated so it stands out ands looks shoddy.
