(More customer reviews)I used a moses basket for my first child for her first 5 months, and was very pleased with the safety, portability, and ease of use.We only reluctantly traded it in for a crib when she outgrew it.For my second, I had to shop online, and tried my best to find one that looked similar to the first (which was a hand-me-down, brand unknown).This basket, unfortunately, is a horror.It's ugly, too narrow, and most alarmingly, has a pad that curls up the sides, which presents a SIDS hazard.I don't normally write product reviews, but as a physician, I feel a need to warn people away from this product.Any bedding for a newborn needs to fit SNUGLY, without bulges.Buyer beware.

(More customer reviews)So convenient!Can move baby anywhere and not disturb and baby feels so cozy.Was wonderful to have with Jaundice so we could move the baby to the right amount of sunlight.When going to be babysat at another home, he is still in his familiar surroundings.Good for 3 months.This is a must have.Baby has not slept any place else.We even put the Moses basket in the baby bed so he is cuddled in.I ironed back the ruffle around the basket because it was not blue and that looked ok.Really liked the ease of using basket with or without hood.

(More customer reviews)I purchased the Picci Cortina Carry basket for my baby for nights when the baby will sleep in our room as well as times when we are on the move.I like it so much better than a clunky pack-and-play and it's beautiful too.I'm not sure what the weight limits are but we'll have to see as the baby gets bigger.I plan to go buy more sheets as the one sheet that it does come with seems to be a bit flimsy and likely will not hold up to several washing.Also, the first one that was delivered arrived with the box somewhat crushed so I contacted Amazon to return it.They sent a new one at no cost overnight and reimbursed me for my return shipping no questions asked.Great customer service!

As stated in the description the side rail has 2 fixed postions-you basically pick one and screw the rail in there until you need to adjust. As most pricey convertibles also have a fixed rail with only 1 position this system is fine for me. I am short 5'2" and have no problem reaching baby. Overall a great purchase. Also the mattress support is made of springs and metal not particle board.
