Chicco Ct0.6 Capri Lightweight Stroller Review

Chicco Ct0.6 Capri Lightweight Stroller
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
As a very compact stroller, this one is pretty good. I looked at many umbrella strollers and most did not have 5 point harnesses or aren't comfy for someone over about 5'2". Now I'm a hair under 5'8", but I wouldn't recommend this for anyone taller. My husband at 6' had to hunch over to push it. Another issue is that the wheels are pretty close together and the handles don't tilt back far enough to provide a lot of separation between your feet and the wheels. You do have to walk heel-toe if you are going to walk behind the stroller and that not only takes a little getting used to, but can be tiring because you don't use your normal walking muscles.

It has a very small basket underneath that can store some smile items, but because of the cross back support, you can't put a bag of any size under there, but it's good for small purchases. Also, while it does recline, it's not much, but more than you would see on other umbrella strollers.

Another plus is that it is significantly wider than the Jeep umbrella stroller and the other low price ones. My 3 month old looked cramped in that one and I cannot imagine her being able to use it for long. This stroller should last us for travel purposes (especially on the subway) for a couple of years.

I also like that the sunshade can be snapped to the back of the stroller or you can unsnap it and change the angle depending on where the sun is.

I recommend you take a test push of this before purchasing. They have them instock in limited colors at Babies R Us, but that's good advice for any stroller purchase.

BumbleRide Indie Stroller Review

BumbleRide Indie Stroller
Average Reviews:

After many in store and online comparisons, we are so happy with our Bumbleride Indie. We looked at many joggers- BOB's, City Mini, MacClaren's and even considered the Bugaboo. This stroller is light for a jogger, has a great basket that holds plenty of groceries, manuevers easily with one had (especially while trying to get through doorways) and handles the bumpy sidewalks of Philly great. The frame is really solid and the carriage portion is solidily constructed with lightly padded fabric, which I'm sure the little one will love when she is big enough. Using the infant seat is really easy, as it just gets belted in with the included attachment. The canopy is nice and big and between it and the infant seat canopy I can completely cover the baby if needed. The only negatives are that the cup holder is in the way of the release latch to fold down the stroller, so it takes getting use to, as does learning how to collapse the stroller. After doing it a few times though, I have it down. I find the key is to keep my foot on the brake as leverage. Also, I wish the storage pouch had a zipper, as the pump and manual fall out of it when it gets folded down. It doesn't fold down to be the most compact stroller, but no joggers do, and if you really need it to be compact you can remove the wheels to help. I think this is a great jogger for the money. I have yet to use it as a jogger, as my baby is only 2 months, but it seems like it will be great.

BumbleRide Indie Twin Stroller Review

BumbleRide Indie Twin Stroller

I researched MANY all terrain strollers and finally decided to go with the Indie Twin.A few features that made this one stand out for me...
--the individual seats with their own bumper bar--most come with a bumper bar that stretches across both seats, this way, I have the option of not using it for my older child, while I need it for my younger. Hardly any all terrain strollers come with a bumper bar, they are always sold separately.
--It came with a car seat adapter, with all of the other all terrain strollers I looked at this had to be purchased separately or was not compatible.
--The extremely large canopies! They stretch well beyond the distance of most strollers. You can also unzip the canopy and use it backwards.
--The foot muffs.Living in the upper-Midwest, this will be handy this fall and spring. It is the only all terrain stroller that comes with the foot muffs and not sold separately.
--It also has oversized pouches on the back of both seats and the under carriage is very large.
--It is only 29 1/2 inches wide making it one of the narrowest doubles on the market.
--It is absolutely amazingly EASY to push, I have been able to walk on the side and feed a bottle to my infant in her car seat and guide the stroller with one hand, with little to no effort.
--the stroller weighs a mere 33 pounds!
--A couple negatives--I need to take off the back 2 wheels to fit into my Accord (which pop on and off really easy), but all of the all terrain strollers would have been the same.I also wish the foot rests came down a little further, they are fine, but would be nicer for older kids (my 3 year old has never complained about it.).Some of hte other strollers (Baby Jogger in particular) are easier to fold, it is kind of a hassle to have to fold the seats flat each time you fold it up.
--Customer service was great at Bumbleride as well.

Stokke Xplory Changing Bag Color: Black Review

Stokke Xplory Changing Bag Color: Black

This bag is perfect for the Stokke. It has two loops that attach securely to the main pole of the stroller. You can't really tell from the pictures, but it is also a backpack. Since it is made to fit on the stroller, the backpack is just two straps and not terribly comfortable when you have to carry the bag. It is a bit small, but big enough for the essentials.

BumbleRide Indie Twin Stroller Review

BumbleRide Indie Twin Stroller

I was debating for weeks between this stroller and the City Mini Baby Jogger. I ended up going with this one for safety, design, and style. It was a hard choice b/c the Baby Jogger has a GREAT canopy and it's very light. However, the Bumbleride is much more sturdy, the under storage is great and easily accessible, and the seats are pretty roomy and comfy. I have an almost 3 yr old and a 5 mo old and they both fit perfectly. I love that the seats can recline pretty flat so they can both nap comfortably. The canopy on the 09 model does not go down as much as the 08 model, which was a disappointment for me. Also, the 09 models do not come with bumper bars, which also is a disappointment. I love the adjustable handlebars as I'm 5'4 and hubby is 6'1, so we can adjust the bars just right for our height. The stroller maneuvers great!! It's so easy to push. I even took up jogging because it is so smoothe. I have the Vita model so it's very stylish (honestly the deal breaker between this and the Baby Jogger). The weight isn't so bad, but you do need muscles to lift it in and out of the car. My only disappointment with the 09 models is that the canopy does not go down as far and it does not come with bumper bars.

Cosco Altura Convenience Stroller - Hilo Review

Cosco Altura Convenience Stroller - Hilo
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
There are other strollers around same price but use better materials. Cosco seems to have interesting designs a notch up from $20 generic umbrella strollersbut with terrible workmanship and material selection. Assembly was fairly easy although the illustrations and directions in the manual don't resemble the stroller parts, probably written for a previous model but were too lazy to alter. I don't have issues about the baby's snack tray banging on the ground when folding up the stroller. A highlight of the Altura is that it can be collapsed with one hand and that's true, I achieved it on first attempt, although I wish it would fold up more compactly.

However the following really irk me: the safety belt.. it just goes around the waist and does not go across the chest, so if you are blessed with an active inquisitive baby he might be able to escape the restraint, beware! Next the overall structure seems flimsy, I tightened every joint and it still rattles as if parts were loose. Weight balance is an issue too, back of stroller seems heavier so make sure your hanging diaper bag isn't heavy, unless you have a very heavy baby, it only takes a little pressure for the whole stroller to tilt backwards. The seat does not recline all the way, it's just a slight tilt maybe +20' degrees. Nylon canopy isn't completely water-resistant. If used in a light drizzle fine, anything heavier your baby IS going to get soaked. There are 2 not 1 pedals for the brake. Make sure you still got a firm hold on the stroller before parking it completely. Lastly front wheels are too big, when baby is tall enough he might kick them or rest his feet there posing a danger to you and himself when going downslope. Remember the seat belt only holds him at the waist. If he's tilting forward he might fall right off.

Verdict? Good for simple walks indoors like the mall, or outdoors on flat level terrain, not recommended as an everyday stroller. Otherwise please spend a little more for a safer stroller.

Phil and Teds Explorer With Double Kit: RED

I only wish that I had bought this stroller with my first child. My daughter is now 17 months and my son is 6 weeks. This is such a lifesaver!!!!

When I was pregnant with my son I did extensive research on double strollers. When I say extensive I mean extensive - I live in Europe and researched what people in each European country were using, and after finding this stroller I also researched the other options in Australia and New Zealand. With my daughter I got the standard Graco travel system and an umbrella stroller for later use.I plan to sell the travel system and umbrella stroller as this is the only stroller that I need.

It fits into my small trunk (BMW 325), is very comfortable, very versatile, and small when opened for use.

The only con that I have for the stroller is that you need two hands to fold it, but with all the other pros outweigh that small inconvenience.

Baby Jogger City Micro Double Stroller Review

Baby Jogger City Micro Double Stroller
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have this stroller and use it for a 2 month old and a toddler.I debated for a long time between this and a Maclaren twin Triumph for my second stroller, and I am glad that I picked this stroller, although it does have a few drawbacks. The fold is fantastic, literally the easiest stroller to fold and unfold that I have ever seen. This is important when you are running errands and want to get the kids in and out quickly. Also, the fold is small. While it is full width folded, it is only 9 inches deep so you can put it upright in the back of a suv or van and still have lots of space for grocery bags.It does not fit that great into our sedan trunk, though, because it is a little too tall to put upright.I would go with a Maclaren if I primarily drove a sedan because the fold is longer but less wide. The other negatives are the weight -- while it is the same weight as the Maclaren (supposedly) it definitely is more awkward to maneuver when folded. It feels HEAVY to me.Also, while it pushes like a dream on flat surfaces, it cannot handle uneven terrain at all.If you are buying your primary stroller for parks, trails, etc., then I'd go with a more heavy-duty model. Finally, the recline is quite slight. Therefore, if you are putting in a newborn like I am, you need some kind of additional body support to prevent slump(I used the JJ Cole one). This would be an issue in most umbrellas like Mac Triumph too, so it didn't affect my decision. All in all, this stroller is perfect for my needs, but depending on what you need it may not be right for you.

This is a very nice stroller, the most compact stroller on the market that has reversible seat.It has a huge canopy, nice roomy seat, smooth operation, and large basket. It looks very stylish too!The toddler also sits high up and straight so my son likes it.It folds in half and can stand by itself. You can also grab it(when folded)and wheel it with the two big tires.I find this a huge plus for airport travel. It came with all accessories except the parent console. The stroller has two front foam tires and two rear air tires. You may compare this stroller to the new Britax B-scene, which allows a 2nd child but is heavier and wider between the 2 rear tires -- harder to get through tighter spaces. The britax also has smaller canopy. Check out the video on [...].I am pleasantly surprised with this purchase.

Baby Bling Design Company Metamorphosis All Terrain Stroller

I have written the company twice and have not heard a response. I have owned this for just over a year, its not my primary stroller, and it is falling apart. I bought this stroller to use on my farm and to take to the beach. It performs poorly on both terrains, so much for ATS. The Wheels are completely rusted out as are the snaps that connect the fabric to the stroller so it no longer is attached, the fabric is faded and the harness has never worked, it loosens instantly and my child ends up slouching down. I have taken good care of this stroller and yet it looks as if its been sitting outside for years. Do not buy this stroller!! I wish I had bought a BOB. Im thinking of buying one now and selling the Bling but I dont think I could give it away.

Baby Bling Design Company Metamorphosis All Terrain StrollerSince 2005, Baby Bling Design Co. focused on creating the most versatile stroller on the market today. They took the ideas that new moms wanted to see in a stroller and created the Metamorphosis ATS (All Terrain Stroller). To top it all off, Baby Bling Design Co. has a line of optional accessories for the Metamorphosis ATS that no other stroller on the market offers. They have a portable I-Pod Speaker System, DVD Package, Lighting Package, Handle Bar Accessory Kit (attaches Cell Phone, PDA, Blackberry, or Portable Sirius Satellite Radio), Car Adapter Wiring Harness with Rechargeable Battery and Battery Charger (Great for bottle warmers and cell phone chargers), Cup Holder, Removable Kiddie Tray, and Fabric Upgrade Kits in 8 vibrant combinations. The Metamorphosis ATS has many special features. Baby Bling has made the stroller slightly larger with a full-size hood to allow the child to grow into the unit rather than out of it. The 4-position seating section reclines completely flat for better sleeping and to be used as a changing table(just think, no more searching for a bathroom to change your baby's diapers). The seat and hood sections are removable from the chassis to allow your child to face you as an infant and reverse the parts back as they grow. The back of the hood zips off and a mesh screen remains allowing free-flowing air for your child. Baby Bling has added 'loops' for attaching toys on the inside of the hood. The trim of the stroller has reflective piping for nighttime safety. The front wheel swivel lock is positioned on the left side of the handle allowing the user to lock the front wheel on awhim. They have added lots of storage space and made the fabrics removable from the chassis for washing, or interchanging with other fabric combinations that they offer as Upgrade Kits and much more.

phil&teds Inline Sport Buggy w/ DOUBLES KIT (Navy) Review

phil&teds Inline Sport Buggy w/ DOUBLES KIT
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
NOTE: THIS REVIEW REFERENCES THE PHIL & TED'S SPORT DOUBLE BUGGY (NOT THE e3) AND WAS THE LATEST VERSION OF THE STROLLER AS OF SUMMER 2007

If you're looking for a concise review, look elsewhere.Below is a detailed review (perhaps tediously so) of the Phil & Ted's sport double stroller by feature. We've owned the Phil & Ted's Sport buggy for several months now.I am in my late 20's and my wife and I have a2 year old and a 12 week old.As I found online reviews were quite helpful in my research, I though I'd return the favor to other multi-child families.

1.Fabric/Materials

Pros:

- High quality fabric, thick and strong with heavy stitching.
- Colors are fun with reflective portions for safety
- Buttons, zippers and hooks in all the right places
- "Runaway" safety strap along with a "frame lock" strap

Cons:

- None

2.Handlebar

Pros:

- Soft, comfortable handgrip (semi-firm foam)
- One handlebar for one-handed pushing if needed

Cons:

- Biggest problem here is the short handlebar.Lack of telescoping feature or simply extending back further leaves some people (1 out of 6 people I asked, plus myself) hitting the doubles seat in the 2-toddler position.(Push it around the store BEFORE you buy)
- Pivot feature (around a horizontal axis) serves littlepurpose as it does not adequately improve comfort for taller/shorter persons nor does it allow for more compact storage.
- "Play" in the handlebar deviates from the otherwise overwhelming feeling of solid construction and high quality.
- If you ever cut/scrape the foam (easy to do when moving in/out of the car) you'll be irritated by it for months (trust me, I know from experience :( )

3.Frame

Pros:

- Solid and secure, very reassuring (it oughta bebased on the pricetag!
- Ingenious fold up with lock for surprisingly compact storage considering its size and functionality (fits into our 2 door hatchback trunk...yah, soon to change)
- Toddler-infant arrangement folds up without disassembling.

Cons:

- I've found an irritating vibration in the right rear frame on 2 of these strollers now.The first one we returned because it did it all the time, the second one does it about 15% of the time.It seems to be related to how the axle seats inside the frame, and did not vary even with a new axle.
- This stroller is heavy!I'm a 5'10" male weighing 185 lbs.It is awkward and bulky for me to move in/out of the car.My wife has a difficult time moving it by herself.Beware those of you who use public transportation! You do not want to have to fold up this stroller and manage to kids at the same time, especially by yourself.
- 2-toddler position requires simple disassembly before fold up

4.Wheels

Pros:
- Easy on/off wheels are a very nice feature and again, ingenious.
- 12" Rubber, air filled tires offer a smooth, comfortable ride.
- 360 degree pivoting front 3rd wheel gives great agility
- Rear kids' fingers protected in 2-toddler position by 2 rear guards over the wheels (an improvement from the first version)

Cons:

- Thin rubber tires and tubes are a sure victim of goatheads and other thorns. This will vary based on your location (we've popped 3 tires already and spend about $40 on sealant and tube protectors).
- Easy on/off wheels are great, but we never use them as taking them off offers little storage advantage and you need them on to protect the tire guards from being damaged.
- This stroller is not for jogging

5.Storage Space

Pros:

- Large storage under the stroller fits most of what you need

Cons:

- lack of standard cup holders and zippered pouch for keys/wallet/cell phone.
- 2-toddler position has the rear child with their feet in the storage compartment leaving little room for anything else.

6. Brake

Pros:

- one brake for both rear wheels
- no chance of accidental unlocking

Cons:

- difficult to both lock and unlock with your foot, especially in either of the 2-child positions (don't try unlocking in Sandals... Ouch!)

7. Hood

Pros:

- Solid wiring inside the hood give eliminates the "flimsy" that accompanies most hoods.
- Hook and button on either side hold the hood tight and secure when open

Cons:

- Minimal sun protection when used as a single child stroller
- 2 child position brings the front child's head quite close to the hood.(Our child seems to like it, almost like he's able to hide)

8. Infant "Cave"

Pros:

- Private, flat space for an infant until such time as they can hold their own head up
- clear plastic cover seals the opening, protecting child from wind/bugs and nosy strangers

Cons:

- slightly awkward transferring child in/out of this cave, but overall a really sound setup.

9. Doubles kit

Pros:

- Pretty much the main reason for purchasing the stroller. This feature sets Phil & Teds apart from the pack
- easy assembly in both 2-child positions
- recline feature
- We had 2 toddlers in the stroller once and the rear-toddler didn't seem to mind the limited view
- At 8 weeks old, our daughter rested securely in the back seat in the 2-toddler position (much earlier than I anticipated, recline helps the smaller child)

Cons:

- Some people will hit the frame of the doubles kit with their knee while walking in the 2-toddler position, ESPECIALLY when reclined ... bad news!!! - test before purchase.(I hit it, my wife doesn't)
- 2-toddler position does not fold up without first removing the doubles kit from the back (a small price to pay for this fantastic feature.)

10. Accessories (We have both the fanny pack (hangbag & belt) and the bug/sun screen)

Pros:

- fanny pack is a must for everyone. It gives you a place for bottles, sippys, wallet/keys etc.
- bug/sun screen is high quality and fits just right.Kids don't seem to mind at all.
- "bumper bar" and "hood" keep the screen off of the front child's face

Cons:

- fanny pack hangs loose and can fall off when folding up the stroller
- a zippered pouch and cupholders should be standardIn Summary... this stroller meets all our needs.Although there are a few problems I have with this stroller, the benefits far exceed them and in some cases even cause them (example: high quality, solid construction causes stroller to be heavy). If you have 2 kids or more, this stroller is a must. When I see other parents struggling with double-wides and super-longs, I'm thankful for every penny spent (all 50,000 of them!)

Cosco Umbrella Stroller Review

The price here is a bit ridiculous. Spend 45 seconds and you can find a reputable retailer selling for just short of half this much, in the ballpark of $20.

And for $20, this stroller is at least decent. It's very, very lightweight, which is good at times. However, it's also pretty flimsy, so don't expect it to tolerate, well, anything. The wheels are small and hard, which makes for a rough ride. It's also very short, so if you're not, prepare to stoop. The latch to keep it closed is hard to find, and the lock to keep it open will take the skin off your fingers if you're not careful. The seat material is very thin, almost worrisomely so (but at least the pattern is cute).

It's also very small. My son is about 33 inches tall and 25 lbs, and he barely fits. If your child is much bigger than mine, they won't fit at all.

I got this stroller to be a super-light-weight way to push my son around on very short trips when i have to carry other heavy things, or go up or down stairs. (His other stroller is a three-wheeled jogging stroller, so very inconvenient if stairs are involved.) It does exactly what i wanted from it, and not a single bit more.

Baby Jogger City Micro Single Stroller Review

Being a stroller junkie, this was to be my last stroller purchase. After our Plinko lite tore in the seat and wouldn't fold completely anymore from years of use and impatient airline staff handling, I was on the hunt for one last stroller to fit our needs. Our 33 pound 4 year old still tires after all day walking events like Disneyland or Legoland and Daddy can only carry her on his shoulder for so long.We had rented the strollers at Disneyland and liked them...Baby Jogger.. so I thought I'd check them out.I couldn't justify spending a lot on a stroller for a preschooler who will use it probably only another year or so, so went with the micro. We've taken it to Disneyland (via plane) so far, and it has saved the day with the nieces and nephews at other times. We stayed at a hotel across from Disney and our 4 year old stayed comfy and happy as we trekked for 5 days.We even could push our 7 year old (50 lbs) when he pooped out once on the walk back to the hotel. The steering is great, fold is ingenious, and is very portable.Yes, the storage net is small and the shade isn't huge. After owning Graco, Britax, Plinko, and others umbrellas, this stroller gets high marks in steering and folding. It's not the lightest, but because it folds so slim, it makes toting it around a breeze.
