Chicco Ct0.6 Capri Lightweight Stroller Review

Chicco Ct0.6 Capri Lightweight Stroller
Average Reviews:

As a very compact stroller, this one is pretty good. I looked at many umbrella strollers and most did not have 5 point harnesses or aren't comfy for someone over about 5'2". Now I'm a hair under 5'8", but I wouldn't recommend this for anyone taller. My husband at 6' had to hunch over to push it. Another issue is that the wheels are pretty close together and the handles don't tilt back far enough to provide a lot of separation between your feet and the wheels. You do have to walk heel-toe if you are going to walk behind the stroller and that not only takes a little getting used to, but can be tiring because you don't use your normal walking muscles.

It has a very small basket underneath that can store some smile items, but because of the cross back support, you can't put a bag of any size under there, but it's good for small purchases. Also, while it does recline, it's not much, but more than you would see on other umbrella strollers.

Another plus is that it is significantly wider than the Jeep umbrella stroller and the other low price ones. My 3 month old looked cramped in that one and I cannot imagine her being able to use it for long. This stroller should last us for travel purposes (especially on the subway) for a couple of years.

I also like that the sunshade can be snapped to the back of the stroller or you can unsnap it and change the angle depending on where the sun is.

I recommend you take a test push of this before purchasing. They have them instock in limited colors at Babies R Us, but that's good advice for any stroller purchase.

Cosco Altura Convenience Stroller - Hilo Review

Cosco Altura Convenience Stroller - Hilo
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
There are other strollers around same price but use better materials. Cosco seems to have interesting designs a notch up from $20 generic umbrella strollersbut with terrible workmanship and material selection. Assembly was fairly easy although the illustrations and directions in the manual don't resemble the stroller parts, probably written for a previous model but were too lazy to alter. I don't have issues about the baby's snack tray banging on the ground when folding up the stroller. A highlight of the Altura is that it can be collapsed with one hand and that's true, I achieved it on first attempt, although I wish it would fold up more compactly.

However the following really irk me: the safety belt.. it just goes around the waist and does not go across the chest, so if you are blessed with an active inquisitive baby he might be able to escape the restraint, beware! Next the overall structure seems flimsy, I tightened every joint and it still rattles as if parts were loose. Weight balance is an issue too, back of stroller seems heavier so make sure your hanging diaper bag isn't heavy, unless you have a very heavy baby, it only takes a little pressure for the whole stroller to tilt backwards. The seat does not recline all the way, it's just a slight tilt maybe +20' degrees. Nylon canopy isn't completely water-resistant. If used in a light drizzle fine, anything heavier your baby IS going to get soaked. There are 2 not 1 pedals for the brake. Make sure you still got a firm hold on the stroller before parking it completely. Lastly front wheels are too big, when baby is tall enough he might kick them or rest his feet there posing a danger to you and himself when going downslope. Remember the seat belt only holds him at the waist. If he's tilting forward he might fall right off.

Verdict? Good for simple walks indoors like the mall, or outdoors on flat level terrain, not recommended as an everyday stroller. Otherwise please spend a little more for a safer stroller.

This is a very nice stroller, the most compact stroller on the market that has reversible seat.It has a huge canopy, nice roomy seat, smooth operation, and large basket. It looks very stylish too!The toddler also sits high up and straight so my son likes it.It folds in half and can stand by itself. You can also grab it(when folded)and wheel it with the two big tires.I find this a huge plus for airport travel. It came with all accessories except the parent console. The stroller has two front foam tires and two rear air tires. You may compare this stroller to the new Britax B-scene, which allows a 2nd child but is heavier and wider between the 2 rear tires -- harder to get through tighter spaces. The britax also has smaller canopy. Check out the video on [...].I am pleasantly surprised with this purchase.

phil&teds Smart Buggy Review

I've been waiting for this stroller since Jan 2010 and finally its out in the market now (June 2010)!So as the first 'brave' one to review this, here's what i can say...

1) assembly is no brainer! I dont even need to read the manual. But you still have to as you might miss some steps.
2) If 'lightweight' means an umbrella stroller for you, then this Smart buggy is not for you. This is still kindda heavy specially once you have attached the wheels. So lifiting it to/from your car's trunk still needs your 2 strong muscular arms. But if you have the usual 'travel system' of other strollers or those bugaboo -ha! you should be strong enough for this new one.
3) folding/unfolding is very easy (the front wheels are just wiggly when folding). Note that you CANNOT store it standing, unless it is leaning on something steady. It should be laid flat like in your car.
4) yes its very easy to maneuver. Note that the front wheels dont lock.
5) reclining the seat is NOT easy! (but the video shows that you can easily slide the 'clip/fastener') I got my finger pinched 4 times already! ouch! So be careful. Watch that little finger...if you know what i mean...
6) Yes it is compact, but dont expect for a spacious basket underneath. You may need to purchase an extra bag that you can hang on it for your extra stuffs and coffee.
7) some website says the handle is extendable. However, its not said in the manual. I even tried it myself but cant. I hope i'll discover it soon, if its true :(
8) the canopy is made of lycra??? Great idea!
9) the unique core seat is the best!waterproof and wipe clean. My major disappointment is I just hope that the car seat adapter for stroller is easily available.Just like the stroller, this will be another waiting game. They said it'll be available this summer. Let's see...sighhhh...

You may check out their video in you tube. Search for "Smart Buggy Video Demo Pramworld"

I want to know your thoughts too... are you happy with your new P&T Smart buggy stroller?

The price here is a bit ridiculous. Spend 45 seconds and you can find a reputable retailer selling for just short of half this much, in the ballpark of $20.

And for $20, this stroller is at least decent. It's very, very lightweight, which is good at times. However, it's also pretty flimsy, so don't expect it to tolerate, well, anything. The wheels are small and hard, which makes for a rough ride. It's also very short, so if you're not, prepare to stoop. The latch to keep it closed is hard to find, and the lock to keep it open will take the skin off your fingers if you're not careful. The seat material is very thin, almost worrisomely so (but at least the pattern is cute).

It's also very small. My son is about 33 inches tall and 25 lbs, and he barely fits. If your child is much bigger than mine, they won't fit at all.

I got this stroller to be a super-light-weight way to push my son around on very short trips when i have to carry other heavy things, or go up or down stairs. (His other stroller is a three-wheeled jogging stroller, so very inconvenient if stairs are involved.) It does exactly what i wanted from it, and not a single bit more.

Graco Cleo Stroller Review

Graco Cleo Stroller
Average Reviews:

Just got this stroller today. Really impressed with the huge canopy that goes down to the child tray, deep parent cupholders, large basket, one touch brake, and suspension.

Easy to fold - 3 steps - click button between parent cup holders, pull red strap above basket, push down on the handles. It's easier to stand the stroller up by itself folded if you lock the front wheels first, but you don't have to. The Inglesina Zippy is also this way.

NOT easy to unfold - 5 steps - press the safety button, use your foot to step down on the lever above the brake, use your hand to press down on the side of the stroller on the left and right sides, push down on the bar between the parent cupholders. This will take some getting used to. Since I only plan to take this on all day trips, where I will not need to fold and unfold more than one time, I am okay with the tedious unfolding process. I would get really annoyed with it if this was my everyday stroller.

The Cleo is very similar to the Inglesina Zippy as far as seat fabric and large canopy. The basket on the Cleo is bigger than on the Zippy, but the cross bar does get in the way a bit. The Zippy has this same problem. The Cleo only has a child tray, but the Zippy has a child tray and child bar. Both strollers have removable and washable seats, but the Zippy also allows you to remove the canopy to wash and the Cleo doesn't. The Cleo reclining mechanism feels cheap. It's just a strap and is a bit too reclined even when pushed up as far as possible. The Zippy reclining has a much easier to use lever that allows for 4 positions.

The major difference between the Cleo and the Zippy is the folding and price. Zippy really does have a one step fold and unfold, except it's easier to fold if you lock the front wheels first. The Cleo is a 3 step fold and 5 step unfold. However, is this worth hundreds of dollars more?

Some small surprises on the Cleo were the small zippered pouch in the canopy, 2 bottle holders and small velcroed pocket in the basket, and small pocket on the side of the seat for child to put small toys or tall sippy cups.

Even though this is a umbrella fold type stroller, it's heavy enough to not tip over if you have a diaper bag hanging on the handle bars. Also, even with my long strides, I don't kick the back wheels of the stroller like with the Zippy.

Update April 2010 - My two year old is getting a too wide and tall for this stroller. I got a Baby Jogger City Elite instead and she is much happier.

Being a stroller junkie, this was to be my last stroller purchase. After our Plinko lite tore in the seat and wouldn't fold completely anymore from years of use and impatient airline staff handling, I was on the hunt for one last stroller to fit our needs. Our 33 pound 4 year old still tires after all day walking events like Disneyland or Legoland and Daddy can only carry her on his shoulder for so long.We had rented the strollers at Disneyland and liked them...Baby Jogger.. so I thought I'd check them out.I couldn't justify spending a lot on a stroller for a preschooler who will use it probably only another year or so, so went with the micro. We've taken it to Disneyland (via plane) so far, and it has saved the day with the nieces and nephews at other times. We stayed at a hotel across from Disney and our 4 year old stayed comfy and happy as we trekked for 5 days.We even could push our 7 year old (50 lbs) when he pooped out once on the walk back to the hotel. The steering is great, fold is ingenious, and is very portable.Yes, the storage net is small and the shade isn't huge. After owning Graco, Britax, Plinko, and others umbrellas, this stroller gets high marks in steering and folding. It's not the lightest, but because it folds so slim, it makes toting it around a breeze.

Chicco Liteway Stroller Review

Chicco Liteway Stroller
Average Reviews:

I bought the Liteway in Fuego from Amazon, it was the best price around. When I go it, I didn't really like the color. It's an orangish red, I thought it would be deeper. Should have gone with the topazio... But anyways. I'm a 4th time mom with a lot of stroller experience. I've owned all kinds! Too many to list!

Liteway Pros
1. A full one-hand recline (really flat!) my 3 month old is very comfortable in this stroller. Easy to change a diaper in this stroller. Definitely usable from birth.
2. Safety harness is awesome, great fit. I like that the snap part is covered, so you can't pinch your baby's skin. Also 2 shoulder positons.
3. Stroller height. great for tall parents.
4. Adult cupholder. it's large, so you can fit more than just waterbottles.
5. Front wheel locks- great for locking straight to go across the grass. Also very easy to remove the front wheels.
6. Leg bunting- It's attached and stored under the leg rest. It's not large however and my 3 month old has almost outgrown it. It's not a feature for kids 7 months or older I think.
7. It's not too tippy. I can hang a medium size diaper bag (fleurville rerun)on the handles and it doesn't tip over when the child is not in the stroller.
8. Super easy to fold. (just like Maclaren.) It has an auto lock when you fold it. I have successfully opened and closed it while holding my child in the other hand.
9. So easy to steer! I had to drive it one-handed across a bumpy wooden bridge, and had no problems!
10. It's narrow enough to fit through tight spots.
11. It's self-locking! This is a huge deal for me because I can close it and load it into the car one-handed.

Cons.
1. Viewing window in canopy. It's not covered, just tinted, so it lets in A LOT of light- which happens to fall right on my son's face. Had I known that the window was not covered, I would not have bought this stroller.
2. Canopy. Size is just OK.Although, when unattached to the back, it does rotate around to the front to block more sun (but the zipper portion dangles in front of my son's face and annoys him somewhat.
3. Weight- this is not a small stroller. Don't let the name fool you, it's not Lite! it's about 20 lbs. The Pliko P3 feels lighter!
4. Folded size. It really is not that compact. It's about 1.5 times the size of Maclaren Quest when folded. It takes up a lot of the trunk space in my Yukon behind the 3rd row seat.
5. Really small basket- I thought that it would be bigger. I can only fit my Baby Bjorn classic and 2 vhs videos in there. No WAY can you fit a diaper bag. (so I just hang the bag on the handle instead)
6. no snack tray

All in all this stroller is OK. I'm REALLY dissappointed with the canopy. Why can't they make a big canopy like the BOB Joggers? For the price, I guess it's OK. I do wish I had spent the 40 extra dollars and bought a peg perego Aria, Joovy Kooper, or Zooper twist instead...REALLY big canopies on those that rotate to the front...

UPDATE: So now I've used the stroller for 2 months and have decided that for the price, this is an above average stroller. The canopy problem I had I fixed with a Kiddopotamus Rayshade for 15 bucks. You can fold the stroller with the Rayshade attached, so I can honestly say that this is a complete stroller now. I'm taking it to Sea World soon and am confident I will be happy. The other strollers I liked were atleast 40 dollars more than this stroller, so I feel that this stroller is a real bargain now. I would change the rating to 4 stars, but I can't figure out how to do it!

we searched for several weeks to find a stroller and were happy to find the indie.it is lightweight enough to easily take in and out of the trunk and easy to fold at least for someone my height 5ft8in.my son enjoys riding in it and it is very easy to push.the underbasket was the largest we found other than the snap and go we used with the car seat. the canopy of the stroller has a nice zip pocket for your phone and keys which is very handy and the cup holder is useful as well. i would highly recommend this stroller but have commented to the company that the jam pack and snack pack need improvements.my 9 month old is big for his age and cannot see over the snack bar so i can't use it until he is a little bigger.the jam pack should really be made to fit onto the stroller so it doesn't take up the underbasket.it is not comfortable to use as a backpack and not big enough to hold diapers, bottles, changing stuff, a few toys, and mom or dad's wallet which is what you need for just a few hours out of the house.

2010 Bumbleride Indie All Terrain Child Baby Stroller Review

2010 Bumbleride Indie All Terrain Child Baby Stroller
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
SUMMARY:
2010 Bumbleride Indie stroller is a smart, stylish all-terrain stroller that fits our active lifestyle and small car. Thoughtful accessories and excellent customer service from Bumbleride round out an already well-designed stroller. Highly recommended!

DETAILED REVIEW:
We love our Indie in Spice. Lots of research narrowed down our options to the Valco Trimode and Bumbleride Indie. The Indie won because of its lighter weight and more compact fold (has to fit beside our large dog in the back of our station wagon). Aside from practical considerations, I preferred the Indie's sleeker design (the Valco Trimode seemed ponderous and bulky), and the option of sunny, happy colours. The fact that many accessories were included for free was a huge bonus. We opted to purchase a couple of the optional accessories too, as described later.

We were not expecting to fall in love with the Indie as much as we have! There are many pros: Super-comfortable for our baby (it's the first stroller we've had that she gets into willingly), stylish and smart-looking, well-balanced and steers easily (even one-handed on smooth terrain), effortlessly traverses virtually any terrain (long daily dog walks on unpaved dirt trails), goes up and over kerbs without a missing a beat, multi-adjustable handlebars to fit both me and my taller husband, and of course the useful accessories.

Living in Canada, the footmuff accessory proved itself to be a wise purchase in our cold early spring. The footmuff's zipper is a bit finicky to do up at first but we got used to it after a couple times and have no trouble anymore even when our baby is squirming away inside the footmuff. I had second-guessed my order of the Snack Pack accessory because it seemed frivolous but after only the first use, the SnackPack has become our most-liked Bumbleride accessory. It has completely revolutionized how we deal with our baby's stroller snacks by keeping everything in one secure, compact space so that our baby can get to her snacks easily, we keep mess to a minimum, and no more lost or dropped snack and sippy cups, and tangled ties and clips. So many parents, even strangers, have commented on the Snack Pack when they see it in action and asked us where to get one. Having had such positive experiences with the footmuff and Snack Pack, I am considering getting the Jam Pack because we now have so much confidence in Bumbleride's design, and also its excellent customer service. We had to contact Bumbleride directly because there was a mixup with our order that we had placed with a retailer (mixup was NOT Bumbleride's fault) and our issues were quickly and sympathetically resolved.

We were on vacation out of the country for a week so had to use our travel stroller, and I can tell you we were relieved to come home to the Indie after a week of fighting with our travel stroller's--let's call them--"quirks". My husband has a bad back now from the travel stroller's too-low handlebar.

Now for the cons:
1) The Indie doesn't let our baby sit up as upright as we'd like. She is not a tall baby so she needs to sit upright to be able to get a good view as we walk but the slope of the Indie's backrest is just too low for her. Is there an adjustment we are missing?
2) The adjustment strap to lower and raise the seat back is awkward and needs two hands to operate, which just isn't an option sometimes!
3) The included rain cover isn't as durable as we like. Unfortunately, we get very cold winters here but we are an active family that goes out daily regardless of the temperature so when the plastic cover freezes, it becomes brittle and has started to crack.
These next few items are not cons but rather nice-to-haves:
4) Handlebar brake for going downhill. We live in a hilly area so a handlebar brake would be really, really, really handy for slowing down.
5) This would require a major redesign but perhaps some day when the Indie is folded, it can stand upright and the front wheel will not touch the stroller's body (to minimize mud from wheels spreading to the stroller).
6) Storage bag for the back of the stroller. Right now, we use a generic stroller bag made from black netting but a stylish Bumbleride bag that matches the stroller would be a big hit because we hate ruining the look of our beautiful Indie. We are hoping buying the Jam Pack can solve this "matching" issue--if anyone knows whether the Jam Pack can be securely attached to the handlebar, please share your tips.

I'm very happy with the crib.We visit my sister often and used a Pack and Play when my son was smaller. Once he outgrew the bassinett portion, we hated the Pack and Play.It was so hard to lay him down without hurting your back or having him wake up as you lowered him down. This crib is great since we don't have to bend all the way down to the floor to lay him down. Even at the lowest height, the crib is at least a foot off the ground. My husband loves the changing table feature which I have not seen on any other portable crib.We have taken the crib on a few road trips. Its not as easy to travel with as a pack and play but my son sleeps well in it and its easier on our backs.I read the negative review about not being able to find a mattress or sheets that fit.I ordered a mattress and sheets from Amazon and they fit perfectly.I knew that portable crib mattresses are very flimsy so I didn't expect to use it anyway.

I purchased this folding crib because my daughter and new baby will be visiting us for over a month.I decided to purchase a full size folding crib instead of a mini-crib because by the next time my daughter visits with her baby, she may be too big for the mini.It was very easy to assemble. The quality is excellent and it looks great. It is easy to fold up and we can store it under the bed.I look forward to more grandchildren so we can use this crib often!

My husband and I are expecting our first little one in October!I did a lot of research and considered some issues we would have with a full sized crib.We don't have a lot of room in our current house so we decided to go with a portable, mini crib (instead of a bassinette of which a baby would grow out of real quick) because we wanted something the baby could use for a while.

The dream-on-me crib is perfect for the time being. It's large enough for newborn to 6-7 months (maybe even longer), only like 20" shorter than a standard crib.It has wheels and is narrow enough to roll it through doorways and into other rooms. We did nick the espresso finish in two places while putting it together but it's not noticible. It was fairly easy to put together (it only took about half an hour to 45 minutes) and is a lot sturdier than I was expecting.I love that it looks like an actual crib!

I do wonder about the bars though (they're like 2" or so apart) but I don't think it should be a problem. It has two levels, crib and playpen, and one side does lower a couple inches to make it easier to get to the baby.I didn't like the fact that the mattress that came with it was only an inch thick (looked like my yoga mat), so I ordered a thicker one and now the crib looks very comfortable. It's the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.I would give it a 4.5 if I could.

We also like the fact that it is a foldable crib, which will come in handy for when we move, we can ship the crib ahead instead of having it packed up with the rest of our furniture and having to wait a couple of months for it to arrive.

Overall, we are pleased with our choice. It fits our needs really well and we can't wait to bring baby home to it.
